Take an unforgettable tour into Hungary's history along the Blue Danube with excursion into Visegrád, Esztergom and Szentendre. These locations right on the river are picturesque and offer arts and crafts, historic points of interest and great views of the natural surrounds.Highlights- Enjoy the magical atmosphere and get a chance to visit many museums - Learn all about life in the middle age and get to see a pretty palace - Bask in the beauty of the quaint and quirky streets In Visegrád walk on the 750 year-old stones of the formal Royal Residence and learn about life in the middle ages while enjoying the fascinating panorama of the Danube valley. Known as the Northern gate of Budapest, the city of Esztergom is the centre of the Catholic Church. Here you can visit the largest cathedral of Hungary and then glance across the river to view Slovakia. On the return to Budapest is the artist's village of Szentendre. A small baroque city at the gate of the Danube Bend, it is the meeting place of the river Danube and the Pilis mountains, and has a beautiful natural backdrop. Walking around the baroque settlement, built on medieval ruins make your way through the narrow streets to a vantage point atop the city for great views of the Danube. Simply enjoy the special atmosphere of this village and should you wish, take the opportunity to visit the museums such as the world-famous Margit Kovács Ceramic Museum or the Confectionery Museum with buildings and people made of marzipan.
